a chapter of the International Phi Delta Theta fraternity. Our goal of creating young leaders is achieved through focus on the principles of Brotherhood, Sound Learning, and Moral Rectitude. Our Mission: to individually become the greatest versions of ourselves, and to collectively build our organization to the greatest version of itself. We strive to embody Phi Delt Founding Father Robert Morrison's vision of leadership: "To do what ought to be done, but would not have been done unless I did it, I thought to be my duty.
Phi Delta Theta was founded at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio on December 26, 1848. Since then, Phi Delta Theta has grown to over 160 chapters and has initiated over 250,000 men. Montana Alpha, the chapter at the University of Montana was originally founded on March 4, 1921 and re-chartered in 2011.
